REIN Announces 2023 Board

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (January 2023) – As the multiple listing service for the Hampton Roads region, the Real Estate Information Network (REIN) works to help its members serve their clients and consumers who are in the market to buy or to sell a home, said Jon McAchran, Principal Broker and co-owner of AtCoastal Realty in Virginia Beach, and the 2023 President of REIN’s Board of Directors.

“As the region’s multiple listing service, REIN’s property tools and resources benefit sellers by increased exposure to their property and buyers because they can obtain the most reliable, accurate, and up-to-date property information and statistics,” said McAchran, who had previously served as Secretary for the Board and succeeds Liz Moore of Liz Moore & Associates.

Joining McAchran on the Board’s Executive Committee are Gary Lundholm of the Real Estate Group, who will serve as Vice President; Barry Nachman of Century 21 Nachman Realty, Secretary; and Dorcas Helfant-Browning of Helfant Realty Inc./Coldwell Banker Now, Treasurer.

Serving as Directors are Tina Holt, Principal Broker at Long and Foster; Cavelle Mollineaux, Principal Broker at ONYX Realty Professionals; Kimberly Plourde, Principal Broker at EXIT Realty Central; Brenda Reid, Principal Broker with Howard Hanna Real Estate Services; Barbara Wolcott, Principal Broker at BHHS Towne Realty; and Moore as Past President.

“The Board of Directors and REIN leadership are always looking for ways to help our members conduct business more efficiently and serve their clients and potential clients in the best way possible,” McAchran said.

REIN has been serving real estate professionals and consumers since 1969, covering a market from Williamsburg on the Peninsula down through the Southside and into the border region of North Carolina.

As of December 1, 2022, REIN member licensees – agents and brokers licensed by the state – totaled 9,341. That’s an increase of just over 2% from 9,132, recorded on Jan. 1, 2022. Additionally, REIN’s total membership also includes nearly 1,400 real estate support staff, active appraisers, and affiliate offices.
